FlexProfessionals launched in 2010 with the mission of creating more choices for job seekers who felt their only options were to remain in traditional, full-time roles or opt out of the workforce altogether due to lack of workplace flexibility. We are also passionate about helping those who have taken career breaks to transition back to work successfully. Our talent pool consists largely of caregivers with non-traditional career paths who often face systemic barriers to finding meaningful employment, including the stigma of taking a career break and age discrimination. While our mission is rooted in gender equity, we recognize that we need to do more to promote equity across other dimensions, especially race. We are committed to growing and supporting a diverse talent pool. We are also committed to educating ourselves and collaborating with our business clients regarding how we can better support women and men of color. In doing so, we will do our part to reduce unconscious bias in hiring.
