Annie has 15+ years of HR management experience. Since 2003, she has served as HR Manager and then HR Director for a small biotech firm. As the sole HR practitioner, she is responsible for recruiting and hiring, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training, and performance management. In this role, she has used her creativity and resourcefulness not only to provide comprehensive HR support within a tight budget but to successfully build a loyal, high-performing culture. Prior to KPL, Annie worked for a staffing firm and also for NASD as a Compensation Analyst. She started her career as an Auditor for Deloitte & Touche (1997-1998), where she developed a passion for HR through her role recruiting campus hires. She has a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification as well as an HR Generalist certificate from SHRM, where she is a member. She has a BS in Accounting from the University of MD. Katherine has been a Senior Accountant for a government contractor since 2013, with responsibility for payroll, billing, AP/AR, and financial reporting. She previously worked for this same firm from 1999-2004 in a similar capacity. From 2007-2013, Katherine owned her own bookkeeping firm in MA, performing full-charge bookkeeping services to small businesses. Earlier in her career, she worked virtually for 8 years as an Accountant and MIS Analyst for a CA-based law firm. J.C. has 10+ years experience as an administrative and operations professional in both for-profit and non-profit environments. Since 2009, she has served as a Client Service and Assistant Tax Professional, where she manages a tax office, provides data-entry and other support to tax professionals, schedules appointments and maintains calendars, communicates with costumers, and assists with special projects. In 2007, she undertook a special 10-month project to be the first-ever Chair for the DC Metro Angel Adventure for the National Brain Tumor Society. She oversaw all aspects of the walk including marketing, volunteer and vendor management, and logistics. From 1995-2006 she was promoted 4 times at the Association for Manufacturing Technology to Marketing Manager and planned several conferences and trade-shows. She has a BS from Saint Francis College in Loretto, PA.

M.M. is a strategic communications and government relations professional with broad experience on Capitol Hill, in the private sector, and with non-profit organizations.  She has extensive experience translating federal appropriations, budget, and tax legislative processes into action plans to meet the needs of a wide array of clients and constituencies.  She is currently a freelance communications consultant for several small non-profits.  From 2011-2013, M.M. was the Executive Director of the National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity.  From 2000-2011, she served as the Associate Director for Communications at the Congressional Budget Office where she was responsible for all public affairs activities, including research and communications related to healthcare, corporate finance reform, and tax policy.  From 1993-2000, M.M. led the daily operations of Deloitte’s Legislative & Regulatory Services Group, where she managed a team of journalists and communicated legislative and regulatory tax policy developments to Fortune 500 clients.  She has a BS in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
