Rapidly growing medical device company seeks part-time staff/senior accountant with opportunity to grow to full-time.
 
Company: Cutting-edge medical device company. Approximately 30 employees. Rapidly growing.
 
Location: On site in office in Concord, MA. Beautiful green space and parking.
 
Job Type: Part-time 20 to 25 hours per week.  Open to set schedule 3, 4, or 5 days per week.  Opportunity to grow over time to full-time, if desired, as business grows.
  
Pay Rate:
$30 – $35/hr
 
Job Description: Reports to the Accounting Manager.  Responsible for performing accounting tasks, with a focus on accounts payable using QuickBooks. Exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment and contribute to company's growth trajectory. Responsibilities include:
•    Process full cycle accounts payable transactions, including invoice processing & approvals, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements (Expensify), credit card transactions and reconciliation
•    Utilize QuickBooks software to manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate reports.
•    Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
•    Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting purposes. 
•    Check and distribute mail.
•    Order manufacturing and office supplies.
•    Organize staff meetings and staff event.

Future responsibilities:
•    Process purchase order requests 
•    Process manufacturing invoices 
•    Process sales orders
•    Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly 

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. 
•    4+ years’ accounting experience.
•    Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel. Detail oriented.
•    Excellent communication skills. 
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Flexible.
•    Proficient in MS Office.
