Mid-size accounting firm in Fair Oaks, VA seeks Accounting Manager for 20-25 hours/week.

Location Requirements: Mostly on-site in Fair Oaks office (2-3 days/week) with some virtual hours
Rate: $40-45/hour
Job Description: The part-time Accounting Manager reports to the Controller and will be part of the Operations Team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Controller with reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparation of the annual budget
- Assist Controller in reconciliation of monthly PTO accruals and monthly benefit invoices
- Perform annual workers‘ compensation audit under the supervision of the Controller
- Provide back-up for the A/P Specialist in processing accounts payable invoices in Bill.com
- Maintain A/P spreadsheet to ensure all bills are received and paid.
- Assist in management of the Accounts Receivable cycle in CCH Axcess and assist in the billing and collection process performed by two individuals on the Operations Team.
- Perform weekly reconciliation of cash receipts between Axcess, QuickBooks and cash receipts logs. Investigate any irregularities.
- Work with the controller and partner group on A/R collections
- Assist Controller in renewal of business insurance policies
- Renew annual CPA Firm licenses in various states.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, accounting preferably
- 5 years minimum work experience.
- Experience at public accounting or other professional services firm strongly preferred
- Past experience supervising staff a plus
- Past A/R and collections experience. QuickBooks experience strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
