Association in Old Town Alexandria needs an Administrative Assistant to support the President and CEO.

Hours/Schedule: 24 hours/week

Job Type: Contract for the next three months

Location Requirements: On-site

Rate: $25-27/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Correspondence
  • Travel arrangements
  • Preparation for meeting materials
  • Phones

o First point of contact

o Transfer calls, messages

o Assist members when needed

  • Accounting (Quick Books):

o Invoicing member billing

o Inputting office bills

o Maintaining accounting files, Copying, filing, scanning

  • Membership:

o Maintain membership files

o Maintain prospective files

o Database (Insightly):

o Input change of address

o Add new contacts

  • Website: Minor changes to WordPress items. school locations, creating member logins
  • Conferences:  Assist Vice President in preparation for two meetings in spring and fall. Be available to travel to conference Location
  • Board of Directors: Assist in preparation for Board of Directors calls and draft minutes from conference calls
  • Other duties as required

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Admin Experience preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • QuickBooks experience highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
