Large, national building supply distributor is looking for a Corporate Attorney for a Direct Hire opportunity with a flexible schedule, client will consider re-entry candidates with the below qualifications

Location Requirements: Hybrid , 1 day weekly onsite in the their beautiful Herndon office , the rest of the work can be done remotely
Rate: For Full-time /Flex salary range is 150-180k , for a re-entry candidate will be TBD based on former experience
Job Description: The Legal Counsel role will draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts with third parties. They will also provide legal counsel on corporate and transactional matters, including strategic alliances, acquisitions, and corporate governance.
Responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day legal support to business teams and developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, efficient, and business-centric ways
- Serving as counsel in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Leading diligence, drafting and negotiation of mergers, acquisitions, alliances, and divestitures
- Resolving issues arising in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries
- Providing support for corporate governance processes and legal advice for corporate governance questions including with respect to the Board and Committees of the Board
- Advising clients on regulatory issues and responding to contacts from regulators
- Providing legal guidance directly to clients on the launch of new products and services
Qualifications:
- Degree in law from recognized law school and must be an active member in good standing with State Bar
- Minimum 4-6 years related experience
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient skill with personal computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated successful experience in working in a demanding, high performance work environment and team-oriented culture
- Comprehensive knowledge of business acumen, financial concepts, and procedures with analytical skills
- Cybersecurity, data privacy, governance, and regulatory experience a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a large number and variety of projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
- Team player and consensus builder who can effectively collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business leaders throughout the organization
- Business acumen combined with the ability to identify optimal solutions, including novel, creative and innovative solutions to complex issues
