Bookkeeper/Office Assistant

Employment and civil litigation firm seeks part-time Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to handle the day-to-day tasks needed to keep the practice running smoothly.


Hours/Schedule: 10 hours/week on average


Job Type: Temp to Direct


Location Requirements: Primarily virtual with occasional meetings in Fairfax

Rate: $30-40/hour


  • Accounts Receivable / Payable
  • Place purchase orders, invoice, process payments
  • Collections / monitoring client account balances, issuing statements
  • Assist with Processing payroll
  • Maintain General Ledger
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Billing
  • Journal Entries
  • License renewals
  • Office equipment upkeep



  • 3+ years experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks required
  • Knowledge of Clio, Law Firm CRM highly desired
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to prioritize effectively
  • Detail oriented, accurate, and confidential
  • Ability to work independently
