Bookkeeper/Personal Money Manager

Care management and advocacy group working with disabled and senior clients is looking for a Bookkeeper/Personal Money Manager to assist with individual bookkeeping and financial organization for its clients.
 

Hours/Schedule: 15 hours/week on average. Potential to grow for the right candidate.

 

Job Type: Contract to Hire

 

Location Requirements: Hybrid. Primarily remote but require occasional client visits in the DC Metro area.

Rate: $35/hour

 
Job Description: Reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The DMM provides services ranging in depth from simple bill pay to handling all financially related activity affecting a client’s well-being. 

 

 
Responsibilities:  

  • Handle all accounting needs of a client, including the preparation of financial statements
  • Pay bills, reconcile accounts for our clients, both in their homes and virtually
  • Use company equipment solely for business, keeping it secure and maintained. Additionally, use corporate-approved Password programs for all passwords.
  • Attend staff meetings for in-service, training and/or staff development as requested. Attend additional individual meetings with other staff as necessary.
  • Other duties assigned by the Chief Financial Office

Qualifications: 
  • Two years of experience working with budgets, paying bills, and reconciling accounts
  • You enjoy working by yourself, with clients, and in a team environment. 
  • Good at identifying problems, being proactive, and developing solutions to problems.
  • Possess excellent time and project management
  • Proficiency with the latest Microsoft Office Products. 
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is essential
  • Professional demeanor, highest standard of confidentiality (HIPAA)
