Large, national supply distributor with corporate offices in Reston , Virginia is looking for a Business Strategy Analyst to join their team , will consider re-entry candidates that meet the below qualifications

Rate: 100k-120k, based on experience, excellent benefits

Job Description:
  The Business Strategy Analyst will need to understand the company’s strategy and how each initiative contributes to its realization and how the day-to-day execution of strategic priorities aligns with the long-term vision and goals. This role is responsible for supporting the execution of strategic initiatives helping accelerate the achievement of the company’s growth goals. 


  • Support initiative leaders in articulating clear business cases for their strategic priorities, leveraging a deep understanding of market trends, competitive analysis, and customers’ insights from CRM data and customer research
  • Provide insights into the company’s overall strategy by identifying critical questions and performing ad-hoc analyses
  • Provide support to initiative leaders and cross-functional teams on the execution of strategic initiatives, maintaining the management system required to drive and accelerate effective execution and achieve key performance indicators. This includes identification of key stakeholders, setting up regular cadence reviews with key contributors, working with FP&A to maintain tracking and reporting for Executive team and Board of Directors
  • Identify, communicate, and execute on new opportunities and recommend to initiative leaders the adjustment of strategic goals based on changing market conditions and competitive landscape


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, Economics, Statistics, or in another related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in analytics or management consulting
  • Advanced knowledge of data management and SQL for data manipulation
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and critical thinking skills paired with the ability to visualize in a meaningful manner
  • Comfort with ambiguity
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize business and financial insights from multiple sources
  • To successfully perform this role, individuals must possess strong critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills. You will need to be comfortable working in a matrixed organization and exert horizontal leadership at various levels of the organization. 
  • Proficient skills with Personal Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project or similar)
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Business acumen, comprehensive knowledge of financial concepts and procedures
