Wealth Management firm in Falls Church, VA seeks part-time or full-time flex Client Service and Financial Planning Associate with understanding of investment accounts.

Company: Growing RIA firm

Location:  City of Falls Church, VA
Job Type: Temp to perm or Direct Hire
Hours/Schedule:  Preferred 32-40 hours/week, mostly on-site in City of Falls Church. This is an in-office position, but client is offering flexibility to work from home a few days a week during the pandemic. 

Rate:  TBD based on experience

Job Description: Seeking Client Service and Financial Planning Associate who is savvy with technology and has a basic understanding of financial planning/investment accounts.


Financial Planning:

  • On-board clients to their Personal Financial Website (powered by eMoney), training and assisting clients with data entry and navigation
  • Integrate and facilitate implementation of risk tolerance questionnaire
  • Hold calls/video zooms with clients to confirm financial data and to assist with keeping financial information secure and current
  • Support and preparation of financial planning analyses for clients across a wide scope of areas including, but not limited to, net worth, cash flow analysis, tax planning, real estate financing, insurance needs, college funding, retirement/financial independence analysis, retirement income planning, etc.
  • Create Executive Summaries for clients
  • Communicate with clients on the implementation of their financial plans and tracking of action items

Client Service:

  • Developing/cultivating relationships with clients
  • Managing web-based calendar system, client service model and CRM
  • Identifying and implementing new policies, procedures and technologies that will allow the firm to be more efficient and provide optimal service to clients
  • Ensuring compliance documents are current and that the firm remains compliant in our communications/actions with clients
  • Appointment Preparation for Advisors 
  • Providing support to Advisors to ensure client communications and needs are being addressed quickly


  • Execution of advisor directed trades and rebalancing
  • Preparation of performance reports
  • Managing outside accounts within performance reporting tool
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of eMoney or similar Financial Planning software
  • Experience with Fidelity Wealthscape or similar trading platform
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance
  • Acute attention to detail with the ability to multitask and manage multiple ongoing work projects
  • Ability to create systems and workflows to support efficiencies
  • Proactive approach to each day/week/project
  • Team oriented, yet possessing the ability to work remotely, as well as independently
  • Strong work ethic focused on both serving the best interest of our clients and growing the strength of the organization
  • Extensive computer skills, with a willingness to embrace new technology

Skill that are a plus:

  • Knowledge of Black Diamond or similar Performance Reporting Software
  • Marketing: experience in supporting social media education, and marketing
  • Demonstrated desire or progress toward CFP certification
