Woman owned firm specializing in digital strategy and content marketing is looking for a Content Strategist  who has ideally worked in a similar type role in the healthcare industry to join their dynamic team for a 6 month (plus) project  opportunity


Hours/Schedule: 20 hours weekly for a 6 month project with a possibility for an on-going opportunity 


Job Type: Contract


Location Requirements:  Remote     

Rate: 35/hour  

Job Description:
The Content Strategist for this project will lead a major content publishing effort for a healthcare foundation.  


  • Create a matrix for reviewing and creating content for a foundation website
  • Solicit, collect, and select content appropriate for the mission of the organization
  • Ensure that all materials accurate, relevant, current, and appropriate for its intended use and audiences
  • Collaborate with a group of subject matter experts to review and revise content as needed
  • Manage a taxonomy
  • Communicate with third-party for submission and inclusion of information relevant to the mission of the foundation
  • Develop processes for submission, review, and evaluation of content
  • Ensure content is accessible, searchable, and user-friendly
  • Analyze website performance and suggest improvements to interface and search
  • Manage communications between executives, SMEs, developers, designers, and programmers



  • 5+ years of communications, writing, editing, or publishing experience in a healthcare environment (this could include hospitals and health systems, health insurance organizations, health literacy, healthcare not-for-profits or healthcare technology)
  • Excellent editor and analytical thinker; you know how to look at content like a puzzle and create a structure that readers can understand easily
  • Highly collaborative; you work well with others and you’re willing to take the time to coach team members
  • A self-starter who is excited to work in a fast-paced, decisive environment where you’ll have autonomy
