Alexandria, VA based Association is looking for a part time Contracts Attorney 

Hours/Schedule:  20 hours per week 


Job Type: Contract to Hire


Location Requirements: Hybrid    

Rate: $61/hour 

Job Description: 

Looking for an attorney who has experience or a demonstrated interest in environmental law/science or research



  • Review, draft and negotiate contracts with outside vendors, contractors, consultants, research entities, and service providers
  • Responsible for supporting Senior Counsel in maintaining the organization’s contract management database and providing reports on status of pending and existing contracts
  • Potential to do legal research and advise staff on legal issues
  • Position will report to the Senior Counsel



  • At least 3-5 years relevant work experience in a legal environment, J.D., and active admission to a state bar.  Active California bar admission is ideal. Connecticut or Rhode Island bar membership is a plus. 

  • Contract drafting experience 

  • Ability to multitask and work in a collaborative work environment 

  • Ability to remain flexible to evolving needs in a rapidly growing organization 

  • Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail 

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are essential 

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM or contract management databases is a plus.
