Boutique law firm in historic Concord seeks a part-time Corporate Attorney. Office works exclusively within the nonprofit sector, offering a wide range legal services to founders and nonprofit clients from small, community based organizations to those operating nationally and abroad. Hours/Schedule: Approximately 15-20 hours/week, 2 days in Concord office, flexible scheduling

Rate: $85-$105/hour

Job Description: The Corporate Attorney will work collaboratively to service a wide range of clients – from local community-based nonprofits to organizations working nationally and abroad. This position involves a range of corporate work including contract preparation and review, support for nonprofit formation, affiliations, mergers, and other corporate transactions, preparation of corporate governance documents, legal guidance to nonprofit boards and senior management, and supporting client overall legal needs.

Responsibilities:  

  • Ability to think practically and strategically in responding to nonprofit client legal needs
  • Meet one-on-one with clients and provide consultative services
  • Manage multiple client relationships and matters concurrently

Qualifications: 

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in MA
  • Four to six years of legal practice with strong knowledge of MA corporate law.  Real estate and/or exempt organization tax and regulatory practice experience a plus
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector
  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, Outlook 365, Excel, and legal billing software
  • Able to work independently with strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
