Job Description: Seeking a highly qualified individual to join its Corporate/Transactional Group in Boston. The group represents a broad array of closely held companies (founders, executives, and investors) with headquarters mainly in the New England area. The work consists of mergers and acquisitions ($2.5MM to $50MM+), formation and restructuring, and general outside counsel/advisory work.
The successful candidate will be experienced working with closely held and family businesses, from start-up to exit phase, and be comfortable working directly with business owners and management on governance, contract matter, strategic partnerships, recruitment and retention incentives for key executives and employees, private financings, and M&A transactions.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience in a law firm with Corporate/Transactional practice
• MA license required and New England roots a plus
• Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills
• Excellent client interface capabilities
• Skilled drafting, with attention to detail
• Sharp negotiation and analytical skills
• Commercial real estate acquisitions, leasing and financing experience valuable
• Experience in liquor licensing and employment transactional work helpful
• Enthusiasm for growing a book of business
