Company: Arlington, VA based e-commerce company looking for an Customer Service Associate 

Location: Mostly Virtual (DC-based candidates only)

Hours/Schedule: 20 hours/week.  

Rate: $25/hour 

Job Description: 

The Customer Service Associate provides customers with exceptional service by identifying customer needs, responding to customer queries and collaborating with internal departments to optimize customer experience and brand awareness



  • Provide knowledgeable answers to customer email, phone, and chat inquiries regarding products, website, brand and services
  • Create an exceptional brand and buying experience for all customers across various touchpoints and channels, including email and social media
  • Ensure prompt and appropriate resolution to customer needs, including but not limited to order changes, order cancellations and shipping issues
  • Document customer issues and input into the ticketing system (Zendesk)
  • Assist Customer Experience Manager with inventory management and basic reporting/analytics
  • Cross-functional support for the Operations team during surge periods




  • Must have applicable customer service experience, preferably in a similar role and/or related industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Experience with customer service platforms, preferably Zendesk
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms, preferably Shopify
  • Empathetic, friendly attitude and experienced with conflict resolution
  • High energy, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Able to prioritize competing tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Professional and responsive personality
  • Must be able/willing to work some hours over the weekends and holidays
  • Love of sports (nice to have)
