Rate: $40-$45/hour

Job Description: Boston-based investment management firm with mission of generating financial returns and creating a positive impact. is looking for a motivated Finance & Accounting Analyst to join their inclusive and collaborative team. The Finance & Accounting Analyst will be responsible for the firm's ongoing financial operations. The role will be based in Boston, with a hybrid model of three in-person days per week. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable and full cycle Accounts Payable  
  • Run quarterly and annual closing functions, including audit- and tax-related reports  
  • Maintain general ledger
  • Facilitate the calculation, processing, and collection of money management fees and meticulously execute all billing responsibilities
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyses for accrued and prepaid expenses, revenues, notes payable and receivable, and bank accounts
  • Research and resolve vendor issues
  • Conduct full payroll functions including submission, journal entries, reconciliations, deductions and retirement limits
  • Monitor soft dollar commission balances, payments, and reporting
  • Record fixed assets
  • Process expense reimbursements
  • Maintain paper and electronic files and records for documentation and audit trail
  • Coordinate and prepare books for annual audit conducted by CPA firm
  • Create additional projects/reports as needed

Qualifications: Seeking an experienced finance professional, ideally with exposure to accounts receivable. The successful candidate will be looking to progress in their career and interested in remaining at the firm in a full-time capacity following the temporary contract. Ideally, the candidate will possess the following traits:

  • Tech-savvy with a strong proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop) and MS Excel
  • Eager to understand current processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose process improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Preference for experience with Advent Revenue Center
