Rate: $80-110k based on experience
Job Description: Responsible for monthly and annual general ledger close procedures with an emphasis on revenue recognition and expense reporting across the business.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare monthly journal entries for revenue and expense accruals, variance-to-budget analyses for income statement accounts, month-over-month variance analyses for balance sheet accounts, and general ledger account reconciliations
· Meet monthly and annual reporting deadlines, both internal and external
· Collaborate with appropriate business counterparts’ teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of the data that flows to the general ledger
· Prepare schedules and supporting data in conjunction with the issuance of annual financial statements and tax filings as requested
· Prepare data and schedules for audit requests during interim and year-end audit cycles, supporting both external and internal audits
· Prepare data and schedules in support of the annual budget and interim forecasts
· Update and/or create documentation of processes and procedures to enhance the overall quality of journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and financial reporting efforts
· Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, participate in special projects, and perform other duties as assigned
· Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
· A Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
· 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience
· Advanced Excel skills
· A demonstrated understanding of accounting and financial concepts
· Experience with QuickBooks (preferred)
· Clear and concise communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
· The ability to work effectively in a team environment
· The ability to read and analyze financial reports
· A love of details with demonstrated initiative in research and follow-through
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
