Fundraising Coordinator

Nonprofit with a mission to provide advocacy, support, and resources for individuals and families upon receiving diagnosis from a devastating disease.  
 

Hours/Schedule: 15-20 hours per week (depending on projects), potential for additional hours with events. Set schedule is required, but hours and days are flexible as long as during standard business hours (M-F 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m). Starting asap.
Job Type: Contract, May-August, with potential for extension
 
Location Requirements: Onsite in Burlington, MA

Rate: $25-$30/hour

Job Description:
The Fundraising Coordinator will report to the Director of Fundraising Events and will support the fundraising and event management activities. The Fundraising Coordinator will assist with special events and projects to help raise funds for the organization and build awareness around the mission.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Support and partner with the Director on cycle and golf events
  •  Assist with recruiting participants for events, silent and live auction items, as well as helping with stewardship activities
  • Make phone calls to welcome participants to the events once signed up
  • Call confirmed participants and team captains to strategize about fundraising goals
  • Assist with administrative work
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with event participants, sponsors, top fundraisers, donors, leadership, volunteers, and other community partners
  • Attend events as requested and assist with onsite needs
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 plus years of professional experience in a nonprofit organization or sales/customer-focused role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will take the initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time
  • High energy and passion for organization’s mission
  • Must occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds in preparation for special events
  • Some nights and weekends are required to manage and attend events
  • Must have a car- mileage will be reimbursed for any errands to and from the office
