Rapidly growing company is looking for a part-time Human Resources Generalist to join their dynamic team 

Hours/Schedule:  20 hours/week

Job Type: Contract, On-going, temp to perm opportunity

 

Location Requirements:  Hybrid , ideal candidate will be onsite in their Vienna, VA office 1x day weekly and two days weekly working remotely  

Rate: $50/Hr.

 
Job Description: Human Resources Generalist for a small, rapidly growing organization who will play a critical role in coordinating the human resources activities .  The ideal candidate will be responsible for various HR functions, including drafting position descriptions when hiring,  onboarding new employees, creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), developing job scorecards, scheduling performance reviews, and ensuring the confidentiality and accuracy of HR files. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization by effectively supporting our HR processes. This firm currently has 20 employees working both in office and remotely across the US. The team is expected to grow over the coming 18 months.

 
Responsibilities:  

  • Create KPIs: Collaborate with managers to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for various roles, and create systems to track and measure these metrics.
  • Develop Job Scorecards: Work with department heads to develop job scorecards that clearly define performance expectations, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Schedule Performance Reviews: Coordinate and schedule performance review meetings, ensuring timely completion of reviews and constructive feedback for employees.
  • Employee Relations: Support employee relations by addressing queries and concerns, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain HR Files: Safeguard the confidentiality of HR records and sensitive employee information, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Administer Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, education/training, and other perks. Identify opportunities to improve benefits.
  • Onboard new employees when needed: Lead the onboarding process by preparing necessary documents and facilitating orientation
  • Maintain employee records in ADP and other systems to ensure timely and accurate compensation of employees and compliance with state tax and insurance requirements.
  • Update and maintain the Employee Handbook and Code of Business Ethics
  • Lead HR Projects: Participate in various HR projects and initiatives
  • Stay Updated: Stay informed about industry trends, employment laws, and HR best practices to contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience or coursework in HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, and record keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with HR software, particularly ADP, and applicant tracking systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong proofreading and editing abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Track record of collaboration and thriving in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; self-starting work ethic with an ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
