HR/Recruiting Associate

Woman-owned small business that delivers data management and analysis in addition to other services, to the education community, is looking for a part-time HR/Recruiting Associate.
 
Hours/Schedule: 20 hours/week over Monday through Friday 

Job Type: Direct Hire
 

Location Requirements: Remote but MUST reside in the DC Metro area for occasional meetings in Fairfax, VA    

Rate: $30-35/hour and includes benefits (paid vacation, sick/personal, holidays, $6k medical reimbursement, SEP IRA)

 
Job Description: This position reports to the HR Manager and is responsible for managing and coordinating the full cycle recruiting and hiring process. Hiring will include technical, analytic, and creative positions and administrative duties related to new employee onboarding.  The HR/Recruiting Associate will also be responsible for continuous improvements of tools, processes, and policies and other HR tasks as assigned.

 
Responsibilities:

 
  • Manage the hiring and onboarding process
  • Coordinate the hiring process with the hiring managers and interview team
  • Work with management to develop position descriptions
  • Post jobs on job boards in a timely manner
  • Conduct phone screen interviews determining which applicants move to the next stage in the hiring process
  • Coordinate and facilitate candidate interviews
  • Prepare interview protocols
  • Prepare job offer in collaboration with HR manager
  • Maintain recruiting files
  • Continually improve hiring process
  • Manage recruitment process and database
  • Provide strategic direction on continuous improvements
  • Use project management software, Asana, to manage hiring/recruitment processes
  • Support HR Manager with other HR related tasks

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience supporting recruiting and/or hiring
  • Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Experience with project management software or written processes
  • Demonstrated experience working remotely
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional administrative, organizational and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and direct one’s own work
  • Independent thinking and self-motivation to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe
  • Experience with Web and Video Conferencing
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regard to client and personnel matters is essential
  • Knowledge of applicable State and Federal Employment Laws and Standards is desired
