Rapidly growing small government consulting firm primarily in the conference and meeting planning arena is looking for an experience HR Specialist to join their growing team 

Company: Small, rapidly growing woman owned government consulting firm 

Hours/Schedule: 20-24 hours/week

Job Type: Direct Hire 

Location Requirements: On-site, three days weekly in their beautiful Bethesda office , parking is provided 

Rate: 52k-60k, excellent benefits to include 401k, PTO, paid holidays, professional development reimbursed

Job DescriptionPerforms all human resource functions as needed for this small , growing firm to include: on-boarding, employee relations,  create and maintenance of HR policies with all applicable laws and regulations.  

Responsibilities

  • Create an employee handbook as needed to uphold the firm's policies and procedures and maintain with updates and revisions as the firm continues to grow
  • Employee Relations to include employment and compliance with regulatory concerns
  • Assists executives and with recruiting and interview process. 
  • Other HR duties as this person will contribute to the growth of this organization and employee enhancement 

Qualifications:

  • College degree, with HR certifications a plus 
  • Minimum of 8+ years of similar or related Human Resource experience preferably within the government consulting arena 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Maintain working knowledge of HR policies and procedures. 
  • Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook 
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
