DC based non profit that focuses on human rights is looking for a Human Resources/Office Manager 
 

Hours/Schedule: Approximately 20 hours week

 

Job Type: Contract to Hire

 

Location Requirements: Remote with an occasional day in the office when it opens 

Rate: $35/hour 

 
Job Description: 
Human Resources/Office Manager leads all human resources practices as well as manages the office

 
Responsibilities:  

  • Administer HR policies and procedures
  • Recruiting and hiring
  • Onboarding of new employees
  • Events
  • Payroll and benefits administration (medical, dental, retirement)
  • Employment and compensation
  • General HR Administration
  • Upkeep and maintenance of office space, physical resources, supplies, package handling and distribution, etc.
  • Main POC for building maintenance and landlord relations
  • Coordinate with Logistics Officer for reservation of hotels and events
  • Conduct procurement based on USG grants requirements
  • Buy supplies and equipment

 

Qualifications:  
 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • PHR or SPHR preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and critical thinker
  • Able to effectively communicate with staff at all levels and across diverse department functions
  • Thorough, accurate and detail oriented
  • At least 5 years of experience in an HR managerial role
  • Experience in non-profits a plus
  • Knowledge of USG grants compliance a plus
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
