Organization based in Virginia representing physicians, scientists, and other health care professionals seeks a contractor to assist in a Short-term Inclusion, Diversity, Access and Equity (IDA&E) Project for the next 3 – 4 months.
 
 

Hours/Schedule: 25 – 30 hours a week during business hours 

 

Job Type: Contract

 

Location Requirements: Remote within the DC or Boston areas

Rate: $55/hour 

 
Job Description: Manage and implement projects related to the multi-year IDA&E Roadmap and staff facing activities to advance key priorities

 

Responsibilities:  
 

  • Manage implementation of multi-year Roadmap and ensure short and mid-range objectives are met; work with stakeholders across the organization to help ensure integration of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access principles
  • Provide advice, tools, and resources to staff and member groups
  • Research best practices to establish sound and innovative processes, policies, practices, and programs
  • Plan and implement communication with staff and members on IDA&E efforts
  • Develop and finalize annual IDA&E Progress Report

 

Qualifications:  
 

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 7 years of full life cycle IDA&E programmatic expertise 
  • Three years of non-profit experience is preferred
  • Ability to effectively manage projects or programs throughout their lifecycle including ability to create detailed project plans; ability to work independently and coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to engage collaboratively among stakeholders; excellent relational and emotional intelligence skills and proven ability to work with diverse cultures, styles and preferences
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Excellent decision-making skills; ability to lead, manage and support change effectively
  • Excellent organizational and research skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to leverage insights through data analytics (assessment, analysis and reporting) of diversity & inclusion metrics
  • Sound critical thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Excellent oral, written, organizational and technology skills with excellent attention to detail
