Award winning CPA firm in Fairfax is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to provide level 2 support as part of its internal operations team.

 

Hours/Schedule: 12-20 hours/week.  Ideally three days on site at 4 hours/day with balance remote.

 

Job Type: Direct Hire

 

Location Requirements: Hybrid

Rate: $35-40/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Work with our Managed IT and Networking Outsource Provider as necessary to maintain all hardware and software functionality
  • Collaborate with decision makers in regards to new software application considerations and implementation
  • Set up new staff with appropriate hardware and software
  • Provide user support on firm-supported computer applications and platforms
  • Serve as resource for end users experiencing technology-related problems and work with outsourced provider to resolve issues
  • Work with outsourced provider to troubleshoot network hardware, software and security issues
  • Maintain database of issues for further analysis and problem resolution; manage work tickets with outsourced provider
  • Conduct user software and security protocols throughout the year
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of our business and all of its systems, including all hardware and software to ensure a quick response to day-to-day user issues
  • Communicate effectively with our team and Managed IT and Networking Outsource Provider
  • Maintain a sense of urgency when completing tasks
  • Be available onsite to onboard new staff
  • Availability after hours especially during busy tax season
  • Manage phone system and office internet connections
  • Monitor network usage

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 4 years of proven IT experience within a cloud environment
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field, preferred
  • 4+ years' work experience in customer support role
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Technical proficiency with managed Windows desktop and experience with Windows servers a plus
