Estate Planning Law firm in Reston, VA seeks legal assistant for hybrid work.

Hours/Schedule:  Approximately 30-40 hours/week

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Location Requirements: Hybrid, 50% from office

Rate: $25-30/hour

Job Description: Support attorneys and office staff with administrative responsibilities to include:

  • Document organization and automation – own and build out the document automation system with vendor and team members
  • Manage final deliverable phase of estate planning – delivering the original documents and copies in binders
  • Coordinating client signings and appointments
  • Scan and save documents, and maintain accurately named and complete client files
  • Schedule CEO's client meetings and travel arrangements
  • Draft correspondence and maintain electronic copies
  • Partner with the CEO and Marketing Coordinator to draft blogs from current content


  • 5+ years of experience in law firms
  • Some experience with Estate Planning a must
  • Tech savvy 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with extraordinary attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • “Can do” “how can I help” attitude
  • Life long learner mindset
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate the highest level of client service, ethics, and integrity
