Alexandria, VA based Association is looking for a Marketing Coordinator 
 

Hours/Schedule:  35 hours week

 

Job Type: Direct

 

Location Requirements: Hybrid 

Rate: $60,000 – $65,000 salary with benefits 

 
Job Description: 

The Marketing Coordinator will develop, manage, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that support the Association and its various programs. They will produce high-impact marketing content for print, web, and social media. They will have strong writing and editing skills with a creative mindset which allows them to develop and manage new marketing campaigns and increase member engagement. They will identify and implement a project management system for tracking and organizing marketing campaigns, member messaging, magazine circulation and event promotion. This full-time position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications.  

 
Responsibilities:  

 

  • Write, edit, and proof marketing materials, press releases and member messaging
  • Maintain marketing calendar for all initiatives
  • Develop and manage social media schedule for events
  • Work with internal and external partners to strategize, develop and execute various marketing campaigns and promotional activities related to Association programs and events (channels include social, email, print and website)
  • Ensure creative assets meet deadlines and are delivered to spec
  • Manage relationships with staff and agency partners
  • Identify, onboard, and oversee contractors and ensure deliverables meet quality standards
  • Maintain brand standards across all content initiatives and ensure that each are reflective of the Association's strategic goals
  • Develop, design and post social media and web content
  • Ability to travel up to 10 days per year for events or tradeshows
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:  
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Journalism
  • 5+ years of marketing or related experience
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills
  • Expert organizational and project management skills with ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
  • Knowledge of all social networking platforms
  • Experience managing marketing campaigns across channels including social and email
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Working knowledge of WordPress preferred
  • Understanding of SEO and digital copywriting is a plus
  • Experience working with Adobe or other design programs is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office
