Prestigious law firm in the suburbs of Boston is seeking a Part-time Accounting Assistant to support their accounting team.
Hours/Schedule: 10-15 hours/week flexible schedule during normal business hours

Rate: $35-$40/hour
Job Description: The Part-time Accounting Assistant supports the accounting team with journal entries, bank reconciliations, data entry, and managing depreciation schedules. The candidate will also support the team and collaborate on mid-year and year-end financial reviews. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Review of bank account transactions to record in accounting system
- Prepare and record journal entries by compiling and analyzing general ledger account activities with related supporting documentation
- Support team with mid-year and year-end financial reviews
- Assist with monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Assist with troubleshooting technical issues
- Provide timely and effective customer service with regard to employees and inter-company vendor issues
- Set up new general ledger accounts in accounting system as needed;
- Saving electronic accounting records, reports, and other documents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- Three years or more experience working on end-to-end accounts payable processes
- Skilled Microsoft Office Suite user
- Proficient in Excel
- Full charge bookkeeping experience a plus.
- Possesses strong and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction when troubleshooting issues and providing answers to accounting questions.
