DC based company focused on philanthropy and impact investing is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Associate
 

Hours/Schedule:  40 hours week 

 

Job Type: Contract 

 

Location Requirements: Remote (possible hybrid schedule)

Responsibilities: 

 

Payroll, Benefits & HRIS Administration

  • Develop all firm HRIS and payroll functions
  • Own all semi-monthly (and out of cycle) payroll processing, auditing, and recordkeeping
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate information
  • Ensure payroll process is documented and consistent with best practice
  • Manage, register and update State taxes as needed
  • Lead benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, elevated staff inquiries, bill reconciliations, supporting health and wellness initiatives
  • Support benefit related initiatives such as open enrollment, paid time off and wellness while interfacing with providers as needed
  • Manage and process the Fitness benefits program per the handbook
  • Maintain and track benefit trends and usage in services
  • Manage employee changes and serve as the administrator of the HRIS
  • Support the Leave of Absence (LOA) and FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) processes and administration.
  • Support the full life cycle of the employee, including but not limited to onboarding, job changes, and termination

Service

  • Provide exceptional day-to-day customer service to staff, including acting as the primary pointof-contact for all benefits and payroll inquiries and directing them to other team members as needed
  • Support, participate, and develop team key service level standards based on department goals
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with staff and key stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with CAT services Compliance
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect confidentiality of personnel data
  • Use the HRIS compliantly to ensure benefit participants receive all ERISA and ACA benefits information, notifications, and disclosures
  • Ensure personnel information is kept confidential to the extent required by laws, regulations and firm policies
  • Manage the submission of compliance reports including but not limited to 5500
Culture (future responsibilities – subject to change)
  • Co-lead the Heritage Group Committee to develop new initiatives and maintain company hybrid culture
  • Participate in monthly culture committee calls as a CAT team representative
  • Assist the Office Manager in planning larger office events

Other Responsibilities

  • Grow human resources expertise by participating in development activities
  • Help with special projects as necessary and co-lead the Compensation Feedback Group
