Government Contractor in Reston, VA seeking a Payroll Manager with ADP and Deltek CostPoint experience.

Hours/Schedule: Full-time, Flexible

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Location Requirements: Hybrid 1-2 days/week at Reston office

Rate: $60/hour

Job Description: Payroll manager will manage full cycle payroll for 650 employees (multicompany and multistate)

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Manage multicompany and multistate payrolls, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time (650 employees total)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll integration with other systems and processes.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and update company policies accordingly
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 8 years of payroll experience, with a focus on multi-company and multi-state payrolls.

  • 8+ years of payroll experience, with a focus on multi-company and multi-state payrolls.
  • Extensive experience with Deltek/Costpoint accounting systems.
