Location: Hybrid, Woodbridge, VA
Rate: $40-45/hour

Hours: 10-20 hours/week, flexible, with occasional evening and weekend availability
Job Description: The Program Director will play a critical role in leading the organization’s growth and impact. Key responsibilities include:
- Taking initiative in recruiting instructors and volunteers
- Building strong relationships with local businesses, schools, and community partners
- Leading administrative operations and ensuring smooth execution of programs and events
- Supporting communication efforts with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and participants
- Ensuring alignment of activities with the mission to promote gender diversity in STEAM
- Adapting to new responsibilities as the organization grows and evolves
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Education, Management, or related field, Master's preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in a nonprofit or educational leadership role
- Strong commitment to STEAM education and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
- Demonstrated experience in STEAM curriculum development and implementation
- Proven interpersonal skills and experience working with business professionals and the public
- Ability to foster a collaborative environment that attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse membership
- Expertise in publicizing and promoting the organization’s programs and goals
- Experience in managing and overseeing STEM/STEAM programs and events
- Ability to establish strong partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and government officials
- Proven track record in working with diverse groups to achieve organizational goals
- Knowledge of local community businesses and government structures
- Fundraising and financial management experience in a nonprofit setting
