Small government contractor in Chevy Chase, MD seeking a part-time, Proposal Writer with experience in Federal Government Proposals.
 

Hours/Schedule: 20 hours/week

Job Type: Contract , On-going
 
Location Requirements: The majority of the work can be done remotely with an occasion onsite meeting in their Chevy Chase , MD office 

Rate: $55-60/hour, based on experience
 
Job Description: Looking for a Proposal Writer who has current experience responding to RFPs in the Federal Space. Your primary goal will be to comprehend and translate the work they do and their processes into strong written content. This role requires strong writing skills and attention to detail. 
 
Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure that written responses to all aspects of the RFP including SOW, management plan/structure, past performance, etc. with emphasis on evaluation criteria.
  • Collaborate with PMs and division directors to capture necessary data and information for inclusion in proposals and marketing materials.
  •  Write marketing content for inclusion in capability statements, project highlights, case studies, and similar.
  • Review and edit proposal content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and compliance

Qualifications:  

  • Proven experience in government contract proposal writing
  • Knowledge of government contracting regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of government contracting experience
  • Must have strong work ethic seeing the proposal process through from inception to completion
