FlexProfessionals is seeking a team-oriented and resourceful Recruiting Manager with strong recruiting, talent assessment, and community engagement skills to help grow our network of exceptional professionals in the Boston metro area. The Recruiting Manager will be a catalyst and hub in Boston to help job seekers find flexible work opportunities including full-time hybrid, remote or part-time positions.

Hours/Schedule: Approximately 16-20 hours/week with growth potential, flexible schedule outside weekly meetings 

Job Type: Direct hire. This is a part-time, permanent job opportunity

Location Requirements: Hybrid (1 day/week in Burlington office)

Rate: $26-30/hr

Job Description: A key talent team member, the Recruiting Manager will be the primary contact for general talent pool recruitment efforts in the Boston Metro area and will serve as candidate agent for open opportunities. The Recruiting Manager identifies high-potential candidates in our target markets, builds connections and alliances at the grassroots level, and helps engage through programming and events. This position reports to the Chief Talent Officer, and responsibilities are below:

Candidate Agency/Placement Support

  • Review and triage candidates to help build pipelines for future jobs
  • Identify candidates and collaborate on filling pipelines for open roles
  • Maintain quality and accuracy of candidate records in ATS
  • Assist account executives with interviews, including scheduling and conducting initial candidate assessments
  • Respond to candidate inquiries about jobs, screening process, programs, etc.
  • Provide client marketing support with featured candidate bios

Community Engagement 

  • Lead social media and email outreach initiatives to engage and attract candidates with in-demand skills and diverse backgrounds, including weekly jobs newsletter updates
  • Identify community individuals/groups to engage candidates through events and partnerships
  • Help develop relationships with potential recruiting sources by securing opportunities to conduct learning events, speak or participate in other outreach events and/or develop a means to post jobs & events
  • Maintain database of recruiting sources and posting cadence
  • Manage and facilitate monthly candidate information sessions (Friday AM Meetups)
  • Work collaboratively with DC-based Talent Engagement and Programming Manager to plan, evaluate, and continuously improve outreach efforts
  • Support special projects related to candidate recruitment and placement

Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be creative, collaborative, share a passion for the FlexProfessionals mission and model, and meet the following requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of work experience with a preference for experience in talent acquisition, human resources, workforce development, partnership building, community outreach, or career coaching
  • Comfortable interviewing candidates across various levels of responsibility and skill areas and providing detailed evaluations for specific job functions/responsibility levels
  • Experience building relationships and partnerships with a variety of stakeholders 
  • Comfortable speaking to groups of various sizes
  • Positive, can-do approach and ability to convey enthusiasm and energy about our mission
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, including written interview summaries
  • Self-starter with the ability to own work independently and take initiative. Organized and detail-oriented with an eye on the big picture
  • Proficient in Google Workplace, Zoom Meeting/Webinars, social media communications (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook), and MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM or ATS systems a plus
