Small and growing nonprofit in downtown Boston looking for a Senior Coordinator, Major Gifts to work as part of team to drive major gifts as part of their overall fundraising strategy. This organization serves the mental wellness space and has an incredible mission.

Rate: $60,000-$65,000/annual salary range based on experience

 
Job Description: 

Reporting directly to the Leadership Gifts Officer, our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly accurate Senior Major Gifts Coordinator to join their team. As the Senior Major Gift Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the recently launched Campaign through effective and accurate donor-facing communication, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records, conducting prospect research, and providing administrative support. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively are key and will directly contribute to the success of our major gifts program.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Communicate effectively and accurately with stakeholders and donors (over multiple modalities: written, phone, email, in person, and Zoom)
  • Draft correspondence for the major gifts team and Chief Executive Officer, Develop/revise content for brochures, appeals, and thank you letters
  • Utilize Salesforce to capture information, background, and relationships; document communications and strategies; and facilitate major gifts administration accurately
  • Research prospects, compile reports, and identify key information using DonorSearch software, the internet, and other resources; assign and track prospects and strategies
  • Assist the Chief Development Officer and Leadership Gifts Officer with administrative support, scheduling meetings, and planning
  • Process paperwork for planned gifts and campaign pledges and ensure proper uploading and tracking in the donor database
  • Manage planning and logistics for donor events, including invite list and RSVPs, venue and catering selections, and paper and electronic communication
  • Develop reports, produce mailing lists, and track event in Salesforce
  • Provide administrative and communication support for high-level volunteer committee, including drafting agendas and preparing PowerPoint presentations
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • 2-3 years working in development, preferably in major gifts
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pivot quickly and be flexible in response to changing circumstances
  • Excellent administrative skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential material
  • Experience using databases to enter data and generate basic reports required; Salesforce or DonorSearch preferred
  • Ability to provide support to the team by conducting research, managing schedules, and assisting with various tasks
  • Familiarity with organizing donor events and maintaining invite lists
  • Demonstrated ability to manage your own schedule, stay on track, and meet deadlines
  • Strong teamwork skills while also being able to work independently
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Pro required
  • Experience with InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, or other design software helpful
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills; attention to detail and aesthetic presentation are a must
  • Must be comfortable with phone, video conferencing, email, and in-person communication with the ability to connect with donors
  • Some local travel may be required for industry-related conferences as well as visits to other agencies and event sites
  • Lifting/moving supplies and being outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather, for events
  • Flexibility in working hours appropriate to meet event responsibilities is required
