Enterprise software engineering firm delivering innovative and cost-effective IT solutions is looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager.

Hours/Schedule:  Full-time, flexible

Job Type: Direct Hire

Location Requirements: Hybrid schedule with one-day, Wednesday’s, on-site in Herndon. 

Rate: $100-125k based on relevant experience

Job Description: Lead the company’s Human Resources Department to the next level by working within the HR Department as well as across the organization.  Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and modify benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, or coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of the organization.
  • Provide support to the internal recruiting and immigration organizations in the management and oversight of current and potential H1B visa sponsored employees.
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
  • Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs.
  • Responsible for HR compliance including but not limited to EEO & AAP reporting
  • Able to learn and adapt to new technologies and automate tasks to streamline processes
  • Maintain an updated list of HR standard operating procedures (SOP's)
  • Coach and develop leaders and managers to deliver people-management capabilities.
  • Manage annual performance management process
  • Manage administration of leave of absence and time off policies
  • Manage resolution of employee relations issues and job performance concerns
  • Assist in recruitment process for salaried and hourly job positions, as needed.
  • Support the planning of annual end of year events
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or related field
  • Senior Human Resource Professional Certification (SPHR) or Society for Human Resource Senior Professional Certification (SHRM-SPC) preferred but not required.
  • 7+ years HR Management experience, and supervisory experience with at least 1 direct report.
  • Prior experience in a H1B sponsoring company environment highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of broad HR practices and procedures with experience as a Generalist.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now a hard requirement
  • Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office applications
