Job Description: The Senior Pricing & Business Analysis will be an integral member of the Finance and Business Development team, contributing to the development of the pricing strategy, identifying risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements for proposals and modifications to proposals. The Senior Pricing & Business Analyst will prepare pricing models and narratives for new proposals and contract modifications. The position will also work closely with the Finance team in estimation of Forward Pricing Rates and Project Control for historical analyses.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of price/cost models and volume documents in a timely manner
- Participate in reviews and pricing discussions with Executive Management
- Analyze input from Business Development and Technical Solutions team to help explain and form a final competitive proposal submission
- Work closely with the Business Development and Solutions team in understanding customer requirements relevant to proposal pricing, and assist with development of pricing strategies
- Assist in gathering information for competitive analysis and utilizing data to develop price-to-win (PTW) strategies
- Prepare timely, accurate, and compliant pricing models
- Analyze and compile cost data while maintaining detailed estimating files for future inquiries and compliance with audits
- Source quotes for materials and other procurement items in coordination with Contracts and Procurement
- Provide direction to subcontractors involved in proposal preparation
- Assist Project Controllers in interpreting pricing documents and estimation of completion costs, as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar discipline preferred
- 7+ years of pricing/finance experience in government contracting, or equivalent combination of education and training
- Experience in accounting and/or financial disciplines
- Familiarity with Government Cost Accounting Principles (CAS) and the FAR
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, with skills in Excel creating complex models
- Knowledge of all contract types including FFP, CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, and T&M
- Knowledge of financial measurement principles such as earned value, scheduling, IRR, ROI
- Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to clearly communicate in both verbal and written formats; must be detailed oriented
- Must have good time management skills in order meet all internal and external deadlines
