Responsibilities:
- General Ledger accounting, compile transactional data and post to accounting software ensuing accuracy, assist with monthly close process.
- Oversee bonus/commission software for monthly bonuses paid to employees in multiple functional areas.
- Accounts Payable duties to record payment transactions accurately. Ensure invoices and employee expenses are paid timely, and in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations and accrual entries. Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Record fixed assets transactions, maintain records for book and tax history
- Assist with various projects, analysis, management reporting, and metrics on an as-needed basis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and all company accounting policies.
- Recommend process improvements to create greater efficiency.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting
- Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong proficiency with Excel and full MSOffice suite
- Detailed knowledge of GAAP and experience with GL software (QuickBooks preferred) Ability to work on-site in Tysons office – option for remote/hybrid work after training period
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Well organized and strong attention to detail
