Local marketing and technology consulting firm is looking for an experienced part-time Technical Project Manager for a 4-5 month project 

Hours/Schedule:  20-30 hours weekly 


Job Type: Contract, on -going 4-5 months as needed


Location Requirements:  Hybrid , will have some onsite in WDC and Rockville, Maryland sites

Rate: $50, TBD based on experience 

Job Description:
The Technical Project Manager will assist the client in revising its Training Program through the provision of professional, technical, and training consulting services.  This PM will implement steps to improve its Training Program as part of a multifaceted, multi-year, strategic plan to bolster the office as a trusted customer service provider for the client's community with procurement and related requirements.


  • Manages the activities and people associated with the project as well as the success of that project
  • Plans and defines the scope of the project in keeping with the SOW and project deliverables
  • Manage and coordinate all project deliverables and schedule with key business leaders, stakeholders, technical staff and external contractors
  • Defines project schedules to plan and coordinate project activity
  • Develops and tracks project budget and forecasts labor and expense
  • Performs resource planning and allocation of staff within and across projects
  • Provides coordination and leadership for staff
  • Designs, develops, documents and implements new projects
  • Ensures projects are securely delivered and fulfill expectations
  • Develops and implements Quality Assurance Plans
  • Identifies opportunities for enhancements and refinements to standards and processes
  • Makes sure that project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately
  • Provides risk analysis , planning and development of strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
  • Develops effective and timely internal and client communications
  • Performing project closeout and lessons learned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Design or related field is preferred.
  •  Minimum of eight years experience in instructional design, training and curriculum development.   
  • A knowledge of acquisition/purchasing a plus
  • Identify required competencies and tasks to be trained
  • Evaluate current levels of training
  • Review current training program
  • Conduct Gap Analysis and identify gaps in training and redundancies
  • Research other available training opportunities
