Managed IT Service Provider for small & mid-sized businesses looking for a Virtual Chief Information Officer (VCIO) to join their growing team in Southern, NH. 

Hours/Schedule:  Part-time or full-time available


Job Type: Contract to Hire


Location Requirements: mostly remote with some client-facing meetings  

Rate: $43/hour 

Job Description: 

The VCIO will establish and maintain Customer business level strategic relationships, then utilize and build on these relationships to better understand Customers’ business goal and objectives. They are responsible for establishing technology budgeting and strategic roadmaps for Customers that both reduce business risk and facilitate technology improvements across the business.


  • Perform regular onsite or remote Technology Business Reviews and unique touches with key Client stakeholders.
  • Maintain, plan and develop a strategic roadmap profile for each Customer.
  • Complete VCIO alignment reviews, based on Technology Alignment Reviews. Maintain clear and precise business and alignment objectives for each Customer.
  • Maintain Customers’ technology budgets.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the RMON Networks standards library and become a valued member of the Standards and Alignment Committee.
  • Design and present technology proposals (in coordination with Design Desk).
  • Provide professional services with a backlog of project work.
  • Design and maintain process and procedural documentation of Client tools and applications.
  • Provide accurate reports and metrics to Client management on the status and performance of Client’s tools and applications.
  • Proactively plan, oversee, coordinate, track and run assigned project tasks. Provide regular project reviews and reporting to the Director of Technical Services. Oversee assigned projects in terms of quality, and output to maximize both the time and cost outcomes for the Company.
  • Maintain high positive Customer and user satisfaction and relationships.
  • Liaise with, manage and advise Customers, other consultants, and contractors and attending meetings as required.
  • Perform other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager.


  • Tertiary qualifications in Business development/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Strong all-round knowledge of IT and telecommunications infrastructure, hardware and software applications.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of network and workstation operating systems, and Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • Demonstrated experience with web and internet technologies.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • High level organizational, project management, coordination and prioritization skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-learning. Show initiative when undertaking tasks.
  • Able to work well both within a team environment and autonomously.
  • High degree of confidentiality and punctuality. 
  • Customer service orientation.
