We have been experts in recruiting and flexible staffing for over a decade and have worked with thousands of businesses and non-profits in the Washington, DC Metro area.

In addition to recruiting experience, our team members have hands-on experience across a variety of business functions and industries and understand the challenges growing businesses face.  Our approach is consultative. We take time to get to know our clients and their staffing needs as well as our candidates and their career aspirations so we can make the best match. We also work collaboratively as a team, so not only do our clients and candidates get a dedicated Account Executive, but they benefit from the experience and knowledge of the entire FlexProfessionals staff.

Founder / Partner

Ellen Grealish

Ellen oversees strategy, marketing and business development at FlexProfessionals and manages the Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland service territories. She has consulted with numerous businesses and is a frequent speaker on how to compete for top talent on a small business budget and how to best incorporate flexible resources into organizations to achieve a next level of growth. Prior to launching FlexProfessionals, she worked for 15+ years in strategic sales and marketing and project management, working with hi-tech products and services. During her professional career, she worked for Hewlett-Packard in information technology and then as a marketing and sales development manager for Networked Printing and Digital Imaging Hardware and Software Solutions. Ellen was also a senior consultant for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) working for both the Washington D.C. and London-based consulting practices. She has worked and lived abroad and has traveled extensively. She is active in local school and community organizations. She studied Economics and History at Oxford University and has a BA in Economics, summa cum laude, from Boston College.
Founder / Partner

Sheila Murphy

Sheila oversees candidate recruiting and screening, support services for job seekers, as well as human resources for FlexProfessionals. She is a seasoned speaker, presenter and trainer on a variety of job search and career development topics. She routinely conducts workshops for the Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute (FSI) and International Monetary Fund Family Association (IMFFA) as well as for numerous parent organizations and career conferences. Prior to owning her own company, Sheila worked in project management and consulting roles for 15+ years at Quadel Consulting Corporation and Mendez England & Associates, both boutique consulting firms serving the federal government. She worked with numerous local, state, and federal government clients, including the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). She began her career as a volunteer social worker in Peru at the Center for the Working Child. She is a Member of the Business Women’s Giving Circle of the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia; Patroness of the National Charity League, Cherry Blossom Chapter; and Associate Member, Council for Women of Boston College. She has a BA in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Boston College.
Gwenn Rosener
Founder / CEO

Gwenn Rosener

Gwenn is the CEO and a co-founder of FlexProfessionals. Prior to co-founding FlexProfessionals, Gwenn spent nine years with Ernst & Young’s management consulting practice focused on strategy, merger integration and business process reengineering. She started her career as an engineer with General Electric. She has served on the board of the YWCA of San Pedro, CA, including as its President and Vice President and was named to the Class of 2014 Influential Women of Virginia by Virginia Lawyers Media. She has a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech, an MS in Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Laurie Bair
Account Executive

Laurie Bair

Laurie is responsible for business development, sales, and account management. Prior to joining FlexProfessionals in 2014, Laurie was the Director of Business Development for The History Factory, a public relations firm that specializes in preserving and promoting company history and culture for its’ clients. Laurie developed new products and strategies to increase retention rates and was responsible for winning new business with Fortune 500 companies. Laurie also spent two years as Director of Sales for the Arlington Group, where she sold grant management software to foundations. Earlier in her career, Laurie opened and managed her own successful optical store in Washington, DC. She has been active with local school and community organizations, including ‘Food for All DC’. Laurie has a BS in Economics from George Washington University.
Maria Cindea
Accountant

Maria Cindea

Maria has thirteen years of accounting and financial reporting experience in a variety of industries. She was the Director of Financial Reporting reporting to the CFO of Cambrex Corporation, the General Accounting Manager for Cashem, Inc, and worked as a staff accountant for Stone and Webber Engineering Corp. She has managed all aspects of accounting operations including G/L, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, credit and collections, and payroll functions. She has a B.S in Accounting from Robert Morris College in Coraopolis, PA and an MBA from Seton Hall University, NJ. She knows QuickBooks and is currently using it to support FlexProfessionals as well as her other small businesses and non-profit clients.
Account Executive

Nan Cox

Nan is responsible for business development, sales, and account management. Prior to joining FlexProfessionals in 2013, Nan spent 15+ years in the publishing industry specializing in in project management, sales, sponsorship development, and marketing. Nan was also a Senior Sales Executive for Edible Chesapeake magazine, where she increased sales in the Chesapeake watershed region and worked with customers on joint promotions, events, and networking within the “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” community. While living overseas, she was the Business Development Manager for Business Week, Hong Kong and drove sales and new product development for the Asia/Pacific region. Earlier in her career, Nan held sales and management positions at Federal Research Service, The Baltimore Sun, and USA Today. She is an active member of the local community, having held many leadership positions in her neighborhood association, church and children’s schools. She has a BS in Communications from St. Johns University, New York.
Maura Connelly
Senior Recruiting Manager

Maura Connelly

Prior to joining FlexProfessionals in 2011, Maura was a Contract Recruiter and Human Resources Manager at the American Chemistry Council. Working closely with hiring managers, Maura recruited for open positions, screened candidates, managed the on-boarding process, and oversaw employee relations. She was a Senior Human Resources Consultant for US Airways, where, in addition to general HR responsibilities, she conducted numerous discrimination and harassment investigations and provided related training and support to business unit partners. Maura started her HR career working for ManorHealthCare Corporation and the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capitol. She is active in volunteer organizations focused on feeding the homeless and previously held leadership positions in her children’s PTA. She has a BA in Psychology from Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore, MD.
Director of Client Sales and Services

Jaime Hirschfeld

Jaime’s focus is on the client side of the business, driving business development and supporting client-focused and revenue-generating activities. Most recently, Jaime was the Director of Revenue Development for a software company focused on public libraries. There she helped hundreds of public libraries to build community engagement, increase marketing impact and improve fundraising efforts. During her tenure, the company grew four-fold. Prior to this, Jaime spent ten years providing training, technical assistance and grant support to Community Health Centers and other federal grantees. She brings her unique experience in business development, marketing and education to FlexProfessionals. Jaime holds an M.Ed. from Cleveland State University, B.A. in Education from John Carroll University and Sales Professional Certification from Action Selling. She is active in local school and community organizations.
Talent Engagement and Programming Manager

Bonnie Lessans

Bonnie is the DC point person for community engagement and programming, helping us get the word out about our flexible job opportunities and learning events to community groups throughout the DMV area. Bonnie came to FlexProfessionals with a myriad of experience in the marketing and events sphere. She started Petite DC, an in-person networking and experience program for new parents in 2014. Bonnie grew the organization from a casual meetup to a built-out, fee-based cohort program, then pivoted to focus on her position as Events & Marketing Manager for the Center for Facial & Functional Recovery where she worked until early 2024.
Account Executive

Linda Wilson

Linda has been responsible for business development, sales, and account management for FlexProfessionals since 2012. She has over 23 years of experience in sales and account management, working for both small start-ups and medical device companies. Most notably, Linda was a Territory Manager at Orthofix International, where she successfully educated her customers on the advantages of her orthopedic product line, increased sales in the DC area, and trained new hires on territory management. Linda began her career as a Sales Representative at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. She ranked #1 among sales representatives and earned Rookie of the Year status while there. She has been active with local school and non-profit organizations, including Women Giving Back in Northern Virginia. Linda has a BS in Marketing from the University of Maryland.
Account Executive

Pam Murray

Pam joined FlexProfessionals in 2015 and is responsible for business development, sales, and account management. She has over 20 years experience working in recruiting, marketing, sales, and account management primarily in the IT consulting and solutions services arenas. Most notably, she was a Recruiting Manager at Comsys Technical Services for their telecommunications division and was a huge contributor to the success of both the AT&T and MCI accounts. Pam began her career as a Marketing Representative for Temps & Co. in the Washington DC area. Within two years she worked her way up to management of their Rockville office and facilitated the expansion of another branch in Gaithersburg. Pam has been actively involved in leading volunteer efforts for her children’s school, the Bethesda community, and charitable organizations. She has a BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
Marketing Manager

Diana Igua

Diana is responsible for marketing for the Greater Boston and DC areas. With a passion for driving impactful campaigns and fostering community engagement, Diana's journey in marketing began in the heart of the Australian non-profit sector, where she dedicated herself to empowering people with disabilities to thrive in society. She most recently worked in the B2B services industry at DoubleCheck Research, where she held a variety of roles ranging from Client Success Manager to Director of Marketing and Operations. During her time at DoubleCheck Research, she was instrumental in establishing DoubleCheck as a thought leader in the win-loss space, driving growth and fostering strategic business partnerships, and nurturing and expanding DoubleCheck's Client Success team. Diana holds a Bachelor of International Business from the University La Sabana and a Master's in Marketing from the University of Queensland.
Maria Sanchez
Accounting Assistant

Maria Sanchez

Maria supports FlexProfessionals’ accounting function. She has more than nine years of audit and internal control experience. After moving to the United States from Venezuela five years ago, she updated her skills with training in bookkeeping, QuickBooks software, and income tax processing. She has experience across most aspects of bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, monthly closings, and preparation of financial statements. She has a B.S. in Fiscal Science from the National School of Administration of Caracas, Venezuela, and an M.S. in Integral Audit and Fiscal Control.
