A.B. is a marketing communications professional with 10+ years of nonprofit and association experience and a specialty in digital engagement, online storytelling, and marketing strategy. Since 2017 she has been working as a freelancer, helping clients develop online communications strategies, reorganize and rewrite website content, and conduct competitor audits and more. An early adopter of social media, she was hired by the American Diabetes Association in 2011 to spearhead its national social media program. She earned several promotions to ultimately become Managing Director in 2016, overseeing ADA’s strategic communications, brand storytelling and digital engagement. A.B. managed several public awareness and digital marketing campaigns from conception to sponsorship acquisition to implementation, including American Diabetes Month and National Get Fit Don’t Sit Day. Prior to ADA, she worked in PR for the Council for Exceptional Children. She began her career in publishing. She is proficient in MS Office Suite and has a BA in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
