He has been engaged in US foreign policy implementation assignments as Senior Advisor, Advisors’ Section Head, and EU Senior Legal Expert in conflict zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003. His roles as counsel, advisor, mentor and trainer put him in direct contact with high-level US and EU officials to increase and improve the governing capacity and managerial skills of key foreign government executives. He is currently engaged in monitoring and researching global political crises, economic and security developments that have potential implications for business operating environments and security landscapes around the globe that could inhibit an organization’s ability to achieve its strategy and strategic objectives with the ultimate goal of creating and protecting shareholder and stakeholder value. AJS holds an MS in Criminal Justice and a Juris Doctorate degree from the Northeastern University School of Law and an LL.M degree from the Boston University School of Law. He received his BA in Politics from the University of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Massachusetts and Federal Bars in good standing and recipient of multiple professional distinctions including certification in International Security Affairs from the National Defense University, Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies, Senior Executive program, and a National Security Law Certification from the18th National Security Law Institute at University of Virginia School of Law.
