B.H. has 20+ years in the federal and commercial sectors, serving as a senior executive and advisor. His specialties are business development, program management, capture and proposal management, and technical writing for federal science and technology (S&T), research and development (R&D), and acquisition programs. In 2002 he founded Carlotta Sciences International (CSI), a small defense contractor that remains successful today. Shortly after founding CSI, he was recruited away by ITT Corporation to serve as its Project Manager to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He was then recruited to Schafer Corporation as Senior Manager, Navy and Strategic Markets. He managed a contract that supported the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and grew this engagement into a $7M+, 23 staff portfolio encompassing ONR, NAVSEA, OPNAV, NMRC, IARPA, JIAMDO, and AS (R&E). He was one of 22 management investors in Schafer’s private equity merger. B.H. began his career as a Sales/Marketing Consultant where he won the Reliance Comm/Tec Corporate Marketing Award–Innovative Proposal Response for the successful $500M product and services proposal to Ameritech Partners in Power. He has a Bachelors from Northwestern University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
