D.D. is a fundraising and community event organizer with deep experience in marketing communications strategy. This combination of experience has allowed her to maximize event promotion and impact. For the past 11 years for a small national rare disorder foundation, she has created, organized, grown, promoted and recruited volunteers for a local fundraiser now raising $45K annually. She also hosted supporting community events to keep engagement and motivation levels high among fundraisers. From 2010-2017, she founded and ran two small businesses, personally promoting each business to create a strong and loyal following. She developed sales and marketing strategies for each business, from social media communications to increase awareness to high quality experiences to guaranty a high level of repeat business. From 2008-2010, she created and implemented the communication strategy for an internet start-up, including email marketing and social media communications. She also created a system to track and report on all business indicators to gauge the efficacy of each initiative in order to guide the company strategy. D.D. has advanced knowledge and proficiency of email marketing sites (Mailchimp and Constant Contact) and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), and is proficient with Google Analytics and Hootsuite. She has an MBA from Georgetown University and a BS in Business Administration.
