D.S. is a communications, marketing, and outreach professional with 20 years of experience assisting organizations elevate their membership activity and achieve targeted goals. At the Marine Fish Conservation Network, she mediated and resolved internal conflict within a 200-member consortium. While working for both CrossLink International and The Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL) she created new Director positions and oversaw all responsibilities related to each position. Additionally while at WARL, she increased Internet presence by 15 websites as an event chair and increased profits by $30,000 for their annual fundraising event. D.K. began her professional career on the political campaign battlefield before serving as an adviser to a U.S. Senator. After leaving the Hill, D.K. co-founded Cornerstone Government Affairs where she successfully crafted clients’ strategic communication and advocacy plans to secure federal funding from hundreds of thousands of dollars to over $5 million. She holds a MPP from American University and a BA specializing in Communications from the University of Kentucky.
