D.S. is a highly competent project manager and business analyst with an engineering background, an MBA, computer skills and over 20 years of experience in consulting and the secondary mortgage industry. Most recently she designed and managed the valuation and control processes for the Whole Loan and IO/PO portfolios at Freddie Mac (market value over $100 billion). Prior to that she was a project manager in Freddie Mac’s Strategic Reengineering group where she oversaw the project planning and budgeting functions and was in charge of a facilities project to relocate the entire division of 300+ employees to a new building and trading floor. As the Director of Business Development and Control in Freddie Mac’s Corporate Finance division, she built and oversaw a team focused on new product implementation. She was also responsible for the Finance Division’s Y2K readiness project including all Finance system remediation, testing and contingency planning. As a Director in Freddie Mac’s Mortgage Securities Marketing department Denise built a team focused on researching and implementing innovative ideas to improve Freddie Mac’s security performance and market presence. She also worked briefly as the Controller for Freddie Mac’s Cash Securities Auction Desk and as the Manager of Programs and Budgets for the Investor & Dealer Services Division SVP but was quickly promoted out of both those positions. Prior to joining Freddie Mac, D.S. worked as a consultant specializing in process improvement and product costing for Ernst & Young (1993), Price Waterhouse (1992) and First American Bank (1988 – 1991). She has a BS in Industrial Engineering from VA Tech and an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua’s School of Business.
