G.M. is a PR and communications consultant with extensive experience managing strategic initiatives for foundations, nonprofits and social enterprises. For more than two decades she has worked in the U.S. and globally on highly targeted communications and policy efforts to promote human rights, disaster relief, economic development, health, sanitation and hygiene, water security, environmental preservation, and clean energy. Her recent work includes managing communications programs for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, WaterISAC, Niger Delta Partnership Initiative Foundation, Center for Clean Air Policy, and Families USA. Prior to being an independent consultant, she was Director of Communications for the Wilderness Society. She also served as the Communications Manager for the World Wide Fund for Nature leading a global public relations effort to raise awareness and galvanize multinational government support at the UN Convention on Climate Change. She also spent 4 years as the Media Relations Manager for Disaster Services at the American Red Cross. She started her career as a writer, producer and reporter for CNN and as a reporter for United Press International Radio, Voice of Germany, and Radio France International. She has a BFA in Communications from New York University.
