I.K. has 20+ years of accounting and finance experience with companies in the US and abroad. She has worked in accounting; financial planning and analysis; improving operational procedures; coordinating efforts between business areas and IT departments; and leading teams for both small and large companies. From 2007-2018, she owned a web service for the on-line retail industry where she organized and maintained all company accounting, controlling and reporting systems as well as oversaw all other financial matters. She also led project management efforts in creating and optimizing IT solutions needed for business operations, and led a team of customer-service employees. During her MBA study at George Mason University (GMU), she was a graduate assistant at the Accounting department, were she assisted two professors in researching and teaching accounting concepts and business practices. Earlier in her career she worked at the AIG Life Insurance Company, where she was promoted multiple times, serving as a Business Analyst, FP&A Manager, and Operations Manager, eventually managing a staff of 20 specialists. She was responsible for leading complex commissions calculations (up to $6M per year), financial planning and analyses, budget preparation, reporting of budget achievements, and other financial matters. She is an advanced user of QuickBooks, Excel, PowerPoint and many other business-related software and applications; she knows the Russian language. She has an MBA degree from GMU.
