K.L. has 20+ years of experience in financial analysis and project management in the telecommunications industry, along with controller-level experience via her volunteer undertakings. In 2019 she accepted a company-wide buyout after a 17-year career at Verizon Communications, where she most recently served as Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. She was responsible for budgeting, forecasting, quota development, commission structuring, and executive management reporting for a direct sales team of 40+ reps and over $150M in revenue. She reported monthly to the Sales Director and VP on revenue and sales performance. Through several acquisitions and reorganizations affecting her employer in recent years, K.L. adapted quickly to changes, developing new reporting for revenue and sales trends, employee performance, and other key metrics, presenting to executives monthly to facilitate focus on the evolving organization. She also managed projects including facilities consolidation, capital project evaluation, cost model development and profitability analyses. K.L. is proficient in MS Office Suite and MS Access. She has advanced proficiency in MS Excel where she regularly utilizes vlookups, pivot tables, and graphs to best communicate financial analyses. She earned a Bachelors in Economics and International Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MBA from Stetson University.
