L.C. is a seasoned paralegal with 9 years of experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors in NYC and the surrounding area. Over the last 5 years, she has held positions at two nationally ranked law firms, supporting technology practice groups with respect to corporate transactions, legal compliance, and corporate governance matters. In her most recent position, she became the firm’s first Tech Group Paralegal and supported over 200 startup clients. She has vast experience drafting formation and equity documents, in addition to, overseeing cap table management. In 2015, she joined the corporate practice at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati where she supported a team of 3 partners and 7 associates on all stages of financing transactions; the hiring partner went to a new firm within the year and recruited her. From 2011-2015, she worked at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, helping lower-income individuals navigate their legal issues; initially, she was an Intake Paralegal where she interviewed prospective clients and prepared case reports for matters related to housing/eviction, government benefits, disability, elder, and family law. In 2013 she was promoted to a new role as a court-appointed advocate in the White Plains Family Court, where she provided oral and written translation services and court appearance advocacy for victims of Domestic Violence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Skidmore College with a major in Psychology and minor in Spanish.
