L.M. has 8+ years of strategic management experience, primarily in the nonprofit sector, and expertise in program operations and delivery, grant management, and organizational capacity building. From 2012-2014, while working for the United Service Organizations (USO) in South Korea, she was quickly promoted to direct its new Seoul Center (from the ground up) which serves 6,000 military family members each month. She developed the center’s operating procedures and managed its $180K operating budget. She oversaw fundraising, program design and implementation, volunteer recruitment, and staff supervision. From 2010-2012, L.M. was a financial and management consultant at The Finance Project in Washington, DC, where she worked with federal government and foundation clients to improve the sustainability of their programs involving children and family services. She also wrote publications, conducted research, and designed tools and strategic plans to assist policymakers and program administrators to finance, improve, and sustain their operations. From 2006-2010, L.M. raised $6M in new funding through grant proposals and partnership development at an after-school program in Los Angeles. L.M. has advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, and familiarity with Salesforce. L.M. has a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from the University of Arizona.
